Free Glute Workout Tracker — Track Hip Thrusts, RDLs & Training Progress
You don't have to remember last week's hip thrust weight or hunt through notes to see how many sets you finished. Log hip thrusts, Romanian deadlifts, squats, lunges and isolation movements; review your last workout before starting the next one.
How to Use the Glute Training Log
- 01Choose a planner template. Glute Strength, Glute Accessories or Lower-Body Mixed — or your own. Gym or home; replace what you don't have.
- 02Log your hip thrust, RDL and squat sets. Sets, weight, reps, notes. Dumbbell and barbell variations stay separate for meaningful comparisons.
- 03Check previous-session performance. Before an exercise, the app shows last time: reps at the same weight, load changes, sets completed.
- 04Save and review consistency. A weekly calendar shows how often you trained. A slow week isn't a failure — the tracker describes, it doesn't diagnose.
| Exercise | Set 1 | Set 2 | Set 3 | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Barbell hip thrust | 95 lb × 10 | 95 lb × 10 | 95 lb × 9 | Controlled pauses |
| Romanian deadlift | 65 lb × 10 | 65 lb × 10 | 65 lb × 10 | Barbell |
| Cable kickback | 15 lb × 12 | 15 lb × 12 | — | Per side |

What Should a Glute Growth Tracker Actually Track?
A workout log can't directly measure muscle growth. It can track what you control and repeat reliably.
- Training sessions.Dates, exercises, frequency.
- Performance.Sets, reps and weights per exercise.
- Exercise variations.Barbell vs. machine hip thrust; split squat vs. reverse lunge.
- Personal bests.Heaviest completed sets, rep records.
- Optional measurements.User-entered, opt-in, with the caveat that they fluctuate and don't isolate glute size.

How to Track Glute Progress Beyond the Scale
Body weight alone can't tell you whether a program is improving performance. Focus on exercise-specific trends — another controlled rep at the same weight, better consistency, technique held at a higher load. Compare several sessions, not one. Measurements or photos are opt-in in a private version, never required, with no automated claims about appearance.
Common Glute Training Log Mistakes
- Mixing variations.Smith machine and barbell hip thrust load differently — separate records.
- Recording the plan, not the set.If you did 8, write 8.
- Forgetting per-side reps.Label per leg or total.
- Treating soreness as progress.Track repeatable performance instead.
- Too many body metrics.A simple log kept consistently beats a complicated dashboard.
FAQ
Can I track hip thrust progress separately?+−
Yes. Separate entries for barbell, dumbbell, machine or other variations, each with its own history.
Does the log work for home workouts?+−
Yes. Replace gym movements with what's available and add band or bodyweight entries.
Can it tell me how much muscle I've gained?+−
No. Performance and optional measurements are useful records, but the app can't measure muscle growth or guarantee body-shape changes.
Can I log workouts without tracking weight or measurements?+−
Absolutely. Sets, reps, variations and dates are enough.
Can I customize the glute workout tracker app?+−
Yes. Start from the demo and adjust routines, charts and fields in Leanfinit.
